Centreville Day
10/17/202610:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Centreville Historic District (St. John's front yard!)

Centreville Day will be held October 17, 2026. This annual community celebration in the historic district features food trucks, local vendors, history, entertainment, and, of course, St. John's! The stage is in our parking lot!
St. John's will be there!
- How Can We Pray for You? St. John's Episcopal Church is a house of prayer for all people. We'll be taking prayer requests to be added to our prayers over the next few weeks.
- We'll also offer traditional pet blessings, so bring your furry, feathered, scaly, or otherwise attired friends for the pet pageant on stage and/or a blessing and free gift!
- Local artist Sue Walia will be part of the Celebration Station on campus with arts activities for kids.
- Keep Calm and Commit (a Little) Treason. In recognition of our country's 250th birthday, we'll participate in a little polite rebellion. Colonial Anglican priests were required to pray for the king and for victory over his enemies. Take up your quill, and write a little revolution into your day.
- Centreville Day's History Trail ends at St. John's where kids can ring the bell, and everyone can learn about The Rev. Spence Grayson, rector of Rocky Run Chapel and chaplain in the Revolutionary War.
- Take a tour of our historic church and grounds.
- We'll have coffee, soda, water, and other beverages as well as crafts for donations.
And Fr. Kevin will be giving the invocation for the day, reading the Declaration of Independence (abridged), chatting with George Washington, and competing in Mellow Mushroom's pizza-eating contest.
